Gluten Free Canada

The front cover does not have much text, it is simple and has the words "Gluten-free Canada" at the top of the page while the image takes up the whole background. The colors are bright; they used green, purple, pink, and yellow. The whole article is revolves around gluten free ingredients and recipes. Just the content is around every other page from 4 to 48 (4,5,7,8,10,13) and the recipes are on every other page as well from 8 to 45 (34,36,41,43,45.) For example the articles included in this magazine are tips to baking gluten free at home, eating out with gluten free foods/menus, ways to substitute dairy free ingredients while baking and cooking, and more. The types of advertisements used in this magazine are Gluten Free Expo tickets and vegan probiotics to optimize health. On the cover of the magazine it consists of Winter "Green" Basil Hummus in a bowl, with olive oil drizzled over it, decorated with pine nuts, edible flowers, and mint. The article includes images of gluten free meals such as: Holiday herb cake, Spain's Sierra de Sergura and fresh vegan gluten free pasta. Gluten Free Canada has around 28 followers/subscribers and has not won or has been nominated for any awards.

Our audiences are similar because we both are targeting vegans, vegetarians, etc and others who want a healthy lifestyle and to convert to Veganism. This magazine is an educational charity that provides information and guidance on various aspects of Veganism, including new vegans, healthcare professionals, educators, and the media. This magazine markets their product through Twitter, using their own website, and also Facebook. This shows that they want to target older audiences through Facebook, and younger and more "up to date" audiences through Twitter. The persuasive techniques is by saying how their magazine can help save the planet. Their quotes are "Plate up for the Planet. Taste the Future. Go Vegan" and "One world. Many lives. Our choice." The form of media used were social media, print, digital email, and online. I would probably use both social medias to target all audiences.

Revision #2 - Table of Contents

For my table of contents, the problem was similar to the cover page; the text was hard and difficult to read due to background and its different colors. On word, I used the left over background that i decided to crop in the beginning to move the picture over a bit, so I can utilize the plain background. In addition, I also made the image bigger so the food would be the main focus and not be as distracted by the messy and clumped font. As there are some details in the background, I placed my three different subjects to be seen on top of the plain background, so it wouldn't collide with the font. I think it looks much better, clean, and organized. The font is much better and easier to read as the made it bigger and much bolder. As the for content title, I moved it up and made it bigger, this made more room for the three subtitles.
