Distribution Research #2 - Vegetarian Times



The Vegetarian Times Magazine is very similar to the VegNews Magazine; they placed icons on the website that links you directly to their Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter pages. Unlike the other magazine these icons are not as noticeable as they are smaller and kind of placed over on the side. The other magazine had these icons big and dead in the center at the top of the page. The first thing you can see on this website is one of the top sponsored stories, as you read, the magazine will make money. In addition, the website does not make their subscription or a way to. join their magazine as obvious as the other magazine. It is placed in one area to the right side at the top of the page. Their website also allows you to access some of their articles that are about health and nutritions, vitamins, minerals and supplements, and what is popular now. It seems to appear that to subscribe to this magazine to receive news, special offers and more, and for free. There are no pdf's to access a full magazine but they have websites that show you recipes, starter guides, and more. Also as for the other magazine this magazine has no online app that is on any mobile device. But this magazine has circulated 309,886 magazines.

This magazine is an educational charity that provides information and guidance on various aspects of Veganism, including new vegans, healthcare professionals, educators, and the media. This magazine markets their product through Twitter, using their own website, and also Facebook. This shows that they want to target older audiences through Facebook, and younger and more "up to date" audiences through Twitter. The persuasive techniques is by saying how their magazine can help save the planet. Their quotes are "Plate up for the Planet. Taste the Future. Go Vegan" and "One world. Many lives. Our choice." The form of media used were social media, print, digital email, and online. I would probably use both social medias to target all audiences.

Revision #2 - Table of Contents

For my table of contents, the problem was similar to the cover page; the text was hard and difficult to read due to background and its different colors. On word, I used the left over background that i decided to crop in the beginning to move the picture over a bit, so I can utilize the plain background. In addition, I also made the image bigger so the food would be the main focus and not be as distracted by the messy and clumped font. As there are some details in the background, I placed my three different subjects to be seen on top of the plain background, so it wouldn't collide with the font. I think it looks much better, clean, and organized. The font is much better and easier to read as the made it bigger and much bolder. As the for content title, I moved it up and made it bigger, this made more room for the three subtitles.
